Before you buy or rent housing in Spain, you should first determine its purpose. After all, a clear understanding of the purpose of real estate is the key to a successful purchase. As a rule, housing in Spain is acquired with the following intentions:

- for recreation season on the coast (apartments, bungalows and houses in the resort coastal area)

- for the winter period in Spain (comfortable apartments and villas with the provided heating system)

- accommodation during studies or employment contract (apartments in the immediate vicinity of the place of study / work, near public transportation stops)

- for permanent residence (prestigious residential areas with developed infrastructure)

It is a commonly shared view that in Spain it is most profitable to acquire new buildings which differ from the old housing stock in an ultra-modern layout and loyal credit conditions which are guaranteed by banks. In addition, in new houses, the cost of housing includes repair and furnishing of apartments, and in some cases – equipment with all the necessary appliances.
